Monolithic Glass
Float Glass (raw) basic, offering a variety of colors and meeting the minimum architectural requirements. The important factor to consider is the glass thickness-to-panel size ratio. The larger the panel size, the thicker the glass required.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass consists of two glass panels bonded together by a central layer of Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) or EVA. This type of glass offers many advantages compared to raw glass, including greater impact resistance, thermal and acoustic insulation. It provides greater resistance to temperature transmission and sound through it.
In terms of safety, its main advantage is that in the event of breakage, the large glass pieces remain attached to the central layer, thus preventing serious injuries (the same technology used in car windshields) and significantly impeding intrusion attempts.
An additional advantage of laminated glass is that the PVB or EVA layer acts as a filter for ultraviolet (UV) rays.
Laminated glass can be configured with 2 or more layers, allowing for a wide range of applications such as floors, ceilings, among others.

Tempered Glass
Float glass undergoes a process of heat strengthening through specialized ovens, resulting in tempered glass. Its main advantages or characteristics include a resistance 5 times greater to impacts than raw glass, increasing its overall strength against deflection and external forces.
It is primarily used in railing systems, shower/bathroom doors, or in contexts where structural strength is essential.
When tempered glass breaks, it shatters into small pieces, significantly reducing the risk of injury.

Insulated Glass (Double-Pane)
Double Glazed Windows (Insulated Glass Units) are panels composed of two glass panes sealed hermetically by a thermoplastic spacer, with a dehydrated air chamber between both layers. This configuration provides greater acoustic and thermal insulation compared to monolithic glass.
The main characteristic and purpose of Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) is to significantly reduce thermal exchanges between the two delimited environments, isolating cold and heat. This reduction in temperature transmission compared to monolithic glass is due to the air chamber contained between the two glass panes, which also provides thermal comfort in the internal space.

Solar control Glass
Solar control glass allows sunlight to pass through while reflecting a large portion of solar heat without the need for additional film or coating.
It's a range of glasses with layers incorporated into the glass that have solar control properties and low energy emissivity, allowing for a decrease in heat passage and an increase in insulation. These layers are applied nanometrically, optimizing light transmission, solar control, and high thermal performance.
The interior space remains bright and much cooler than if regular glass were used. Solar control glass can help improve energy efficiency and reduce the need for air conditioning during warmer months.
